Vice City Multiplayer is developed by a team of dedicated fans of the of video games, who work in their own spare time developing VC:MP as a hobby. History VC:MP started in April, 2005.

It was decided that VC:MP would be worked on as a codebase for, due to the fact the upcoming game was not released at the time the team started working. After a couple of public beta tests began gathering an extremely high amount of interest, VC:MP was finally released to a warm reception and has since progressed from v0.1 to v0.1d, with an open-source code release in the progress. This source has now been used by another community member to progress with VC:MP as the main team work on SA:MP. Version 0.3z is the current stable release of the mod, released on December 14, 2007. There is also a Liberty City Multiplayer mod with the same version number, which is designed for the 'Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City' mod, which recreates the rendition of using the Vice City engine. The VC:MP team are now working on version 0.4, however, as of May 2008, there hasn't been a site update since the release of 0.3z in December.
Trivia Another similar modification is, however the mods for both GTA Vice City and GTA III have been quiet for a few years; work is being done on the GTA San Andreas engine. Get DrunkLet’s you get drunk at the Pole Position and the Malibu Clubs. Drinks are free at the Pole Position Club and at the Malibu Club if you own them.
Drinks costs $100 if you have not bought the Malibu Club. The screen will be washed out, the camera will wave around, your handling of cars will be impeded, and driving past a cop will earn you a wanted level. The effect will wear off over time. Pedestrians now have a higher spawn and density rate (about 3x). Cars have now have a higher spawn rate, drive faster and are more spread apart. Pedestrians and cars no longer despawn at short distances. Cars and pedestrians will also stay on the map longer when not being viewed by the camera. Drivers reactions have also been tweaked accordingly to player activities, for instance some ped types will flee faste then others while others may fire back more aggressively.
Cops drive faster and take longer to despawn distance and offscreen wise. Peds are more likely to fight back. Cops are similar to GTA IV cops, good luck on five star chases Known Bugs:. When shot pedestrians in the Night Club continue to dance. Pedestrians may rear end each other trying to stop at red lights.
The game crashes when pressing the radar key in the taxi while on a mission. Nearby pedestrians may find their way in the middle of your missions. Wheel animations do not move accordingly to car speeds.
